Southwestern Association of Parasitologists

The aim of the Association shall be the advancement of the disciplines of parasitology, promotion of parasitological research and teaching, provide for familiar discussion of research and training in parasitology, and fellowship among workers in parasitology and allied fields.


The Association shall be open to all people, regardless of place of residence, employment, or affiliation in other recognized societies, so long as the individual’s employment or affiliation do not advocate overthrow of the Constitution of the United States of America.

1. They can be student members, i.e., individuals who have not earned a doctorate degree and are enrolled as full-time students in a recognized educational institution.

2. They can be members, i.e., individuals who have terminated their studies and those who do not fall into the student member category.

3. They can be life members, i.e., persons who have made a one-time contribution of at least $250.00 to the Association. Contributions by life members shall be placed in student award accounts. Life members shall be exempt from payment of dues and shall exercise all rights of full members.

4. They can be emeritus members, i.e., persons who have retired from active professional work and member for 10 years.

About Southwestern Association of Parasitologists

There are several Immunology Societies around the globe. Of all the parasitology societies American Society for Parasitologists is one of the top societies of parasitology.  Some of These societies are working on specific topics such as General Parasitology, Medical Protozology, Medical Helminthology, Medical Parasitology, Medical Entomology, Veterinary Parasitology etc. Some of the Immunology Societies in different parts of the world are as follows:

American Immunology Societies : USA is considered to be the hub of research. There are several societies working on different field, out of which almost 47 USA Immunology Societies and associations are present.  These societies and association are located in Maryland, Wisconsin, and Florida etc.

European Immunology Societies: More than 75 Immunology Societies in Europe are contributing towards Immunology research activities through their annual congress, journal and newsletters. Majority of these European Immunology Societies and Associations are located in Berlin, UK and Switzerland.

Asia-Pacific Immunology Societies:  There are almost 25 Asian Immunology Societies working on Human Immunology, Cancer Immunology, Allergy, Autoimmunity. These associations are situated mostly in Japan, Singapore, India, Malaysia and China. These societies were established in different time periods by eminent Immunologist and scientists working in this field.
