National Association of Marine Laboratories

NAML-National Association of Marine Laboratories is an amalgamation of marine laboratories. It was established in October 1989 by the steering committee of SAML (Southern Association of Marine Laboratories) and marine lab directors attending the annual ERF meeting in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. Dr. Harlyn Halvorson of Massachusetts Marine Biological Laboratory, USA, became the first president of the National Association of Marine Laboratories.

The mission of this association is to stimulate research and promote education in the marine sciences. It seeks to provide a good forum for the resolution of problems that are common to non-profit marine laboratories in the United States. The association encourages the conservation and wise use of marine and coastal resources.

About National Association of Marine Laboratories

There are nearly 1200 Medical Societies worldwide, both national and international. The main topics covered in these societies are all the medical sciences related subjects etc. Some of the Medical Societies in different parts of the world are as follows:

American Medical Societies: The USA is considered to be the main Centre of research. There are several societies working on the different field, out of which almost 269 USA Medical Societies and associations are present.  These societies and associations are located in almost all the states of USA and also in neighbouring countries like Canada, Mexico etc.

European Medical Societies: More than 425 Medical Societies in Europe are contributing towards Medical research activities through their annual congress, journal and newsletters. The majority of these European Medical Societies and Associations are located in major developed countries of Europe.

Asia-Pacific Medical Societies:  There are almost 580 Asian Medical Societies in the Asian region. These associations are situated mostly in Japan, Malaysia, China, Thailand, India and Taiwan and also in other major countries in the Asian region. These societies were established in different time periods by eminent scientists working in this field.

Middle East Medical Societies: In Middle East almost 315 Medical Associations are present. These societies are organizing annual and biannual Medical Annual Conferences in South Africa, UAE, Turkey, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Kuwait, Qatar etc.

Medical Societies Conferences: There are nearly 500 Medical Meetings and conferences which are scheduled by medical societies for the year 2016 and 2017 in different parts of the globe. These international Medical Conferences and Medical Annual Meetings are intended to bring together all the recent researches, new innovations, and findings on a global platform.
