American Agricultural Editors Association

The American Agricultural Editor’s Association was established in 1921at America. It was founded by a small group of farm magazines publishers who felt the need of such an organization. In 2010 AAEA celebrated its 90th anniversary. Committee chairs are responsible for organizing the committee, in collaboration with staff to recruit members and direct the committee meetings, usually held by conference call. All committee chairs are responsible for providing general updates to members through articles in the Byline and providing Committee reports three times a year before the spring and the summer meeting of the Board of Directors, and the Board autumn meeting / conference call administration. Each committee should also have a co-chairman. Ideally, committee chairs and co-chairs should not be current members of the Board of Directors to provide leadership opportunities for the maximum number of members.
