The Association Agricultural and Applied Economics (AAEA) is a professional association for those interested in the field of agricultural and applied economics. AAEA members working for academic departments, government agencies, NGOs, think tanks, and the private sector, and focus on a combination of teaching, research and cooperative extension programs. Their research covers a wide range of topics, as defined by the mission of the AAEA.

AAEA is responsible for two journals the American Journal of Agricultural Economics (AJAE),, and the Applied Economic Perspectives and Policy (AEPP), , which are both published by Oxford University Press. The association also publishes two publications outreach, political line magazine called Choices, as well as an online publication quickly called policy issues. AAEA also publishes a bimonthly newsletter called The Exchange.

AAEA was founded in 1910 as the American Farm Management Association. In 1919, it merged with the American Association of Agricultural Economists to form the American Farm Economic Association (AFEA). The Journal of Economics Farm was published in 1919 as well.

In 1968 AFEA changed its name to the American Agricultural Economics Association (AAEA) (AAEA), how his magazine became the American Journal of Agricultural Economics. In 2008, AAEA name changed to the Agricultural & Applied Economics Association to more accurately describe its composition and the development of the enlargement of the association.

The AAEA is the main organization of professional promotion and dissemination of knowledge on agriculture, development, environment, food and consumption of natural resources, regional, rural and related fields of economics applied and businesses.

To improve the skills, knowledge and professional contribution of economists who help society solve agriculture, development, environment, food and consumption of natural resources, and the regional economy, rural and associated applied business problems.

Some societies are also located in different other countries, whereas their head offices are located in USA.  As of today approximately 105 Cancer Societies, 35 Immunology societies, 75 Cardiology Societies, 35 Diabetes societies, 52 Nursing societies, 36 Toxicology societies are located in different parts of USA  such as Baltimore, Chicago, Florida, California, Texas, Georgia, Illinois and Ohio.
  • European Medical Societies: In European region there are almost 425 medical societies and associations located in UK, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, Norway and Netherlands. Next to USA, Europe is considered to have excellent research facilities and infrastructures. There are almost 52 Pathology societies, 25 Immunology Societies, 32 Nursing Societies, 42 Neurology Societies, 20 Dermatology Societies, 19 Dentistry Associations, 105 Cancer Associations and 34 Ophthalmology societies  along with many other societies and associations,  these societies were established with an aim of improving the scope and interaction among the researchers and the scientific world.
  • Asia- Pacific Medical Societies: Asia is the largest and the most populous continent. There are many medical societies and associations in different countries, which will be almost 575 societies in number approximately. Majority of the societies are located in Australia, China, Nepal, India, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines and Singapore. In Asian countries there are around 98 Cancer Societies, 110 Diabetes Societies, 85 Food and Nutrition Association and Societies, 42 Cardiology Societies, 21 Nephrology Societies and many other societies on diverse field are present in Asia- pacific countries which are contributing towards the research world.
  • Middle East Medical Societies: Societies and Association located in the Middle East region are almost 376 in number. These are mostly located in Turkey, Iran, Israel, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates. In Middle East, nearly 44 Dentistry Societies, 32 Cancer Societies, 52 Diabetes Societies, 25 Surgery Societies, 74 Pediatrics Societies along with many other societies, associations and organizations are supporting the researchers and scientists to accomplish their researches in the particular research field.
